Situated atop Howell Mountain above the Napa Valley this site has a unique blend of mountain surroundings and far off valley views. The owner’s of this 1960’s house wanted to take advantage of its amazing surroundings. Keeping most of the perimeter walls of the house we raised the roof 5 feet and integrated a new steel  window and door scheme to maximize views near and far. Eroding the corners of the house on the southside with large windows and doors it blurs the intersection of house and site. Local Saint Helena cottage stone was incorporated into the entry facade, landscaping and interiors connecting the home to the awe inspiring site.
