Marin County, CA is unique for its wonderful weather, rolling terrain, breathtaking views and beautiful natural features. That reality has drawn people from all over, creating a demand and shortage of buildable lots. Our clients asked us to develop a house for one of the overlooked, previously “unbuildable" lots. This awkwardly shaped, steep location with rigorous design review constraints and an even more constraining budget became an opportunity rather than a obstacle. The result is a 2,000 SF house with wraparound decks, floor-to-ceiling glass and a distinctive 2-story entry, greeting the visitor at the end of a long, tree-lined driveway. The house has unobstructed views of the San Pablo Bay without another house in sight.
